Family Track & Field Fun Day A Success

Kids and adults of all ages ran down the track for the 50-meter dash during the inaugural Track and Field Fun Day sponsored by the committee working to fund and construct a new track at Pine Eagle High School in Halfway. Nearly 30 participants and just as many volunteers enjoyed perfect fall weather while competing in the 50- and 100-meter dash, 50- and 100- meter mini hurdles, softball throw, turbo javelin throw, standing long jump and relays. Prizes were awarded for participation and performance and a raffle was also held, and everyone enjoyed a variety of soups and warm beverages. All donations and funds raised from registration and T-shirt sales will go towards the planned Grace Gulick Memorial Track.
